Ingredients
  

Chicken & Noodles
  • chicken breast or chicken thighs sliced into thin strips
  • egg noodles, udon, or rice noodles cooked until just tender
  • oil for stir-frying
Sticky Garlic Sauce
  • 4 garlic cloves fresh, minced
  • soy sauce
  • honey or brown sugar for sticky sweetness
  • rice vinegar or lime juice for brightness
  • chili flakes optional heat
  • sesame oil for aroma
  • cornstarch slurry for thickening
Garnishes
  • sliced scallions
  • sesame seeds
  • lime wedges

Method
 

  1. Slice chicken into thin strips. Cook noodles until just tender. Season chicken with a splash of soy sauce to build flavor.
  2. Whisk soy sauce, honey, garlic, chili flakes, vinegar, and sesame oil. Add cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce when heated.
  3. Heat oil in a wok. Add chicken and cook until golden and lightly caramelized.
  4. Add cooked noodles to the pan. Toss well to pick up the browned bits and chicken flavor.
  5. Pour in the sticky garlic sauce. Stir until glossy, thickened, and evenly coating the noodles.
  6. Garnish with scallions, sesame seeds, and lime. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chili crisp, fried onions, or sautéed veggies like mushrooms or cabbage. Use gluten-free tamari and rice noodles for a GF version.
