Main Ingredients
  • 4 fresh salmon fillets pat dry
  • olive oil for seasoning salmon
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • lemon juice fresh, plus zest
  • lemon zest
  • fresh parsley chopped

Optional Ingredients
  • chili flakes optional for mild heat
  • 1/2 tsp honey optional for sweet citrus balance

Equipment

  • Baking Tray
  • Small Saucepan

Method

  1. Pat salmon dry. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil for even baking.
  2. Melt butter in a small saucepan. Add garlic and sauté 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice, zest, parsley, and optional honey.
  3. Place seasoned salmon on a baking tray. Pour half of the garlic lemon butter sauce over the top. Bake at 400°F (205°C) for 12–14 minutes.
  4. Once baked, spoon remaining sauce over the salmon. Let rest 2 minutes to absorb flavor.
  5. Serve warm with rice, vegetables, pasta, or salad.

Notes

The garlic lemon butter sauce also pairs beautifully with shrimp, asparagus, rice bowls, and pasta. For a lighter option, use half the butter and add extra lemon.
