Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 0.5 onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 0.5 tsp salt or to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.25 cup heavy cream optional
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
  • chili flakes optional, to taste

Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Pot
  • Strainer

Method

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and chopped onion. Cook until fragrant and slightly golden.
  2. Add ground beef. Cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning as it cooks.
  3. Boil bowtie pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  4. In the skillet, pour in beef broth and optional cream. Simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Add cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss everything until pasta is fully coated in the sauce.
  6. Top with grated Parmesan and chopped parsley. Serve warm with chili flakes if desired.

Notes

Use room-temp butter for a smoother melt. Don’t overcook the pasta—its ridges hold the sauce perfectly. For extra richness, finish with a drizzle of olive oil.
