Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness. Cut into 2-inch wide strips, about 8–10 inches long.
- Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on each strip, leaving a small border on one long edge. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and arrange pepperoni slices on top.
- Carefully roll each strip into a tight spiral and place seam-side down into the muffin tin.
- Brush tops with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbly. Let cool for 5 minutes before removing. Garnish with basil and Parmesan before serving.
Notes
For best results, roll the dough tightly to maintain the rose shape. You can prepare the roses up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerate before baking. Add 2–3 extra minutes if baking from cold. Freeze fully cooled roses for up to 2 months and reheat at 375°F until warmed through.
